Hello dear subscribers, I really hope you read my last post here on the WordPress blog. If not, please do. It will explain why you haven’t been receiving e-mail notifications anymore…
I just submitted to the forum again, hoping that WP Staff will transfer my e-mail subscribers to my new site: www.mouseblossom.nl asap, as I’m no longer posting here on my WordPress blog. You probably already missed out on the latest posts. If you can’t wait any longer, please subscribe on my new site. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience!
Mouseblossom.wordpress.com moved to mouseblossom.nl
Hi there! Been really busy working behind the scenes to get my new self-hosted blog up and running.
From now on you can find me at: www.mouseblossom.nl
I’m currently waiting for WordPress Staff to transfer my WordPress e-mail subscribers, but if you’re following my blog from other services and if you want to keep receiving e-mails, please subscribe on my new site. I hope you do!
Why move to self-hosting? For now, the blog will look and work generally the same, but the move to self-hosting will enable me to add new features and expand in the future.
Here’s a “but”: All WordPress Likes are no longer visible, I’m hoping to get them back with the next Jetpack update, although it’s still unsure if that’s going to be possible.
And a “however”: I’ve added a Facebook Like button now, so you can Like again to your hearts content!
And it’s now possible to follow my blog with Bloglovin’: button is in the sidebar.
I wanted to install Google Friends connect too, but that’s being retired as you can read here.
I’ll look into Google+ later on (I did reserve an account and page), it’s really busy at the moment, sorry.
If you have any questions or tips, or if you come across problems on my new site please let me know. I really appreciate your input, thanks!
Featured Friday: Jennifer Davis

I can’t even remember when or how I came across Jennifer Davis’ art. It’s so special, I just had to share. Her use of texture and colour is really something else. I had the most difficult time choosing images for this blogpost, she’s made so much beautiful work. Just browsing through it, I feel totally inspired. Have a look for yourself by visiting her website, blog, Etsy shop and do read this wonderful interview: here. I really love how it shows the changes in her work over the years.
Have a great weekend!
Broesj: lovely things

Look what also came in the mail today: two sweet vintage brooches from Broesj (today was a good day for mail). Looking forward to wearing these! By the way, if you love that mouse brooch: there are a few left in her Etsy shop, in different colours!
I had to be quick taking these photos, as my lovely assistant also had his eye on them (don’t worry: I got to him on time).
My Moo greeting cards arrived

Yay! (that’s what the sticker on the box said as well, lol) I ordered some greeting cards with my designs from Moo, to sell at Swan market XXL on the 15th and they just arrived. Beautifully printed on matte paper, they come with white envelopes. It’s really nice to be able to order just a few cards and still get good value.
I’ll list some sets in my Etsy shop after the market (if they all sell, fingers crossed, I’ll order some more).
Top row: designs available as felt brooches in my Etsy shop.
My cat loves me: full illustration available as an archival print in my Etsy shop.
The girl on a pillow holding her coffee is also available as a pillow cover over at Envelop.
Rain design will be available as an archival print soon.
Garden visits

Last Saturday I went to see some gardens with my ex-mamma-in-law (who also makes lovely paintings, but more on that some other time). A few years back we visited some other gardens in our province. We were planning to do this every year, but somehow it had been a while, so we were both looking forward to this.
First we went to Rammekenshof, near fort Rammekens, just a few kilometers from where we live, so we could go there by bike. I had never been there before, but it was definitely worth the visit. Then we went to look at a smaller garden nearby called ‘t Puntje, which doesn’t open that regularly. We were lucky: this was the last weekend they were open this season. Everything looked absolutely vibrant and we had a lovely time. So we decided to go and visit a butterfly garden this summer too.
Sweet blogpost by Viktorija Semjonova
The very lovely Viktorija Semjonova was one of the people who voted and won a free button (badge). And then she did the sweetest blogpost about it! Thanks so much!
Also, have a look at her Etsy shop, called And smile (it will make you smile).

Creatures with mushroom heads, foxes in clothes, cats… oh my gosh, I love it! The moment I saw this, I just wanted to show everyone. The Illustration Friday blog, where I discovered this artist, was sadly under construction when I made this post (their new website is looking really good though!), so I’ll just give you this direct link to the artists Tumblr (which is really amusing too): here. Curious what you think of this weeks pick…
Have an amazing weekend!
‘My cat loves me’ new print in my Etsy shop

Hi there cat ladies! I just added this new archival print to my Etsy shop! This one has a sweet blue heart, but if you prefer another colour just let me know and I’ll make you a special listing.
Featured Friday: Wieki Somers

Another talented Dutch designer this week: Wieki Somers. She designed the Merry-go-round Coat Rack (photo: bottom right) for Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam, who also have her Bathboat on permanent display. Other works include: Blossoms vase (top middle), Phantom wall decalls (available at Domestic) and Buffer lamps (shown here above the Bathboat). Those are definitely on the list. Well, maybe just one lamp. *sighs*
Have a look at this link: it’s about her ‘Frozen in time’ project (that black table!). So beautiful!
Have a great weekend everyone!
