I just deleted LinkedIn. I never liked it. At all. Only joined because a friend asked me to. I sat down and wrote my ‘Contacts’ a Dear John letter, telling them I wasn’t leaving them, only LinkedIn. And that they could come join me on the dark side. Feels good.
Here are two things I ReTweeted this morning:
Ceasing to Exist: Three Months in the Social Media Detox Ward via the99percent.
Forget-self-improvement via creativeboom.
Some other morsels of wisdom/words I live by:
Pick your battles.
Simplify your life.
And now I’m going to make a cup of tea. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend.
Thanks for reminding me I have a LinkedIn account! My weekend bucket list just got slightly longer…
Hi Brian, welcome on board!
The LinkedIn updates just got to me in the end. That, and the fact that they decided I had to live in The Hague (apparently where I actually live is just not interesting enough). Overall I found LinkedIn to be a dark and uncreative place. Beh. Good riddens.
Good luck with The Bucketlist!
“Simplify your life.”
Also my motto….Happy Tuesday!
Ha! Lovely words to live by. Happy wednesday
…taking notes…
Still at it?
Wow, that must be some bucket-list. Yet another tip: FIRST unsubscribe to the Updates in your e-mail, THEN get rid of LinkedIn… I got another Update. And an Invite… So I had to e-mail the LinkedIn Help Centre, because I can no longer Log In. This could take a while… I’m having another coffee. Want one too?
HAAHH!!! I’m jotting down “simplify your life” and adding that to the bucket list! Extremely large coffee, please.
